Enter the heart of the Norwegian fjordland with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in 2017

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched a new brochure, entitled ‘Discover the Norwegian Fjords’, dedicated to its range of Norwegian fjords holidays in 2017. Showcasing 16 unique itineraries, from a ‘Five-Night Fjords’ cruise, departing from Newcastle on 25th May 2017 – the ideal ‘taster break’ for those who have not cruised before – to an eight-night ‘Scenic Fjords & Waterfalls of Norway’ sailing, departing from Southampton on 8th July 2017.

Neil Herbert, Head of Sales at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

“There is no better way to take in the Norwegian fjords – one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena – than on a scenic cruise on Fred. Olsen’s smaller ships!

“We recognise that the reason that guests book a fjords cruise is to actually see the fjords, so the scenic cruising element is just as important – if not more important – than the destinations themselves. We don’t just take our guests from port to port; as the Norwegian cruise specialist, we take the time to deviate away from the direct routes, bringing our guests ‘closer’ to the sheer mountainsides, stunning scenery and breath-taking waterfalls, and showcasing the majestic fjords at their very best.”

Fred. Olsen’s ‘Norwegian Fjords’ itineraries are the Number One best-seller for new-to-cruise guests and receive some of the cruise line’s best feedback on the independent review site, Feefo:

“The fjords were a wonderful experience, particularly on a smaller ship which has the ability to travel where the large ships cannot.”

“The mixture of cities, towns and beautiful fjords on the cruise was perfect – we enjoyed every location.”

“The whole holiday surpassed all our expectations. The Norwegian fjords are amazing to see – photographs don’t do them justice.”

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
