Kick-start the New Year with free drinks or free tours on a Fred. Olsen 'Brabant' river cruise!

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has hailed the start of 2018 by adding a number of exciting European river itineraries to its biggest sale of the year, aboard its new river cruise ship, Brabant. Fred. Olsen’s ‘Cruise Sale’ features more than 125 sailings from its 2018/19 ocean and river programmes, and holidaymakers can take advantage of FREE benefits – either complimentary drinks or shore tours – simply by making a booking by 1st March 2018 inclusive.

With Fred. Olsen’s bumper ‘Cruise Sale’, guests booking one of the 27 featured river cruises aboard 156-guest Brabant can opt for a FREE Dining Drinks Upgrade – with a choice of house wines, beers or branded soft drinks with their lunchtime and evening meals – or FREE shore tour credit of up to £100 per person.

Justin Stanton, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

“We are extremely encouraged by the success of our 2018/19 ‘Cruise Sale’ so far, and we are now giving our guests an extra treat to welcome in the New Year by extending the offer to include our new river cruise programme, on board classic, intimate Brabant.

“Guests can experience some of Europe’s best river cruise highlights, including the Moselle, Rhine, Danube and Main valleys…all for less, as they choose between the free dining drinks upgrade or free shore tours.”

Fred. Olsen will be operating its inaugural river cruise programme on Brabant from 5th April to 3rd November 2018, taking in some of Europe’s most beautiful rivers and spectacular countryside, on a total of 31 departures in 2018, on durations ranging from five to 25 nights – complemented by a selection of high-quality shore excursions, designed to enhance guests’ experience of the destination.

Built in 2006, 110-metre-long Brabant is a stylish and comfortable river cruise ship, and has everything that guests will need to make their holiday a memorable one: from bright and spacious public areas, to well-equipped bedrooms and ample deck space, from which to enjoy the superb views. With just four decks – Haydn Deck 1, Strauss Deck 2, Mozart Deck 3 and Sun Deck 4 – and fewer than 80 rooms and suites, staffed by 40 crew members, Brabant has the intimate and friendly feel that Fred. Olsen’s guests know and love.

Brabant’s classic design is smaller than many river ships, so guests will enjoy the usual hallmarks of Fred. Olsen’s ‘closer’ approach to cruising. In keeping with Fred. Olsen’s ocean-going fleet, this smaller-scaled vessel has the style, atmosphere and elegance of a country house hotel. Cherry wood interiors and contemporary colours combine to make guests feel relaxed from the moment that they step on board. Juliette balconies with panoramic windows are a feature of many of the rooms, so that guests can enjoy expansive views of Europe’s most impressive waterways.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has recently been named winner of ‘Best for Itineraries’ in the prestigious Cruise Critic ‘UK Editors’ Picks Awards 2017’, for a record third year running.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
