Press release -
Borealis departs on 101-night around the world adventure
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Borealis has set sail on her world cruise from Southampton.
Following her departure from Southampton on 7th January, Borealis will arrive in Bermuda on 14th January, before making calls along Florida’s coast where the Kennedy Space Station is among the many attractions.
During the 101-night exploration, guests will encounter wildlife in the rainforests of Costa Rica, revel in local cultures and volcanic vistas in Hawaii and find bliss in the paradise islands of French Polynesia.
Diverse landscapes, famous vineyards and scenic waterways can be experienced in New Zealand, while iconic landmarks and natural wonders such as the Great Barrier Reef await in Australia.
Highlights of the Asian leg of the cruise include rarely-visited Alotau in Papua New Guinea, laid-back Bali and Komodo Island – the natural habitat of the world’s largest lizard.
Martin Lister, Head of Itinerary Planning and Destination Experience at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:
“The departure of a world cruise is always an exciting time, and this one is even more special as it marks our return to Australia for the first time since 2020.
“This global adventure has been hand-crafted by our team to allow our guests to witness some truly remarkable events. These include taking guests to Hawaii at the time of year when humpback whales make their annual migratory trip from the summer feeding grounds of Alaska.
“We can’t wait to take our guests on an exploration of a lifetime.”
