Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ guests and team fund lifesaving defibrillator in Rosyth

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has unveiled a new 24/7 public access defibrillator in Rosyth as it’s cruise ship, Balmoral returns to Scotland for its summer programme.

The defibrillator was funded by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines following fundraising efforts for Norfolk-based charity Heart 2 Heart by guests and team members across the fleet and in its UK office.

Installed outside Rosyth Fish Bar, the defibrillator is located near St John’s RC Primary School and Treetops Family Nurture Centre. Its installation was supported by Cruise Forth, the volunteer-led organisation that promotes cruise tourism in and around Rosyth.

“As a key home port for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Rosyth remains central to our operations, and initiatives like this reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we touch.”

Peter Wilson, Project Lead at Cruise Forth, added:
