Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines looks ahead to inaugural fleet get-together as one-year countdown launched for ‘Four Ladies in Lisbon’

Today marks one year until Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ new-look fleet will get together for the first time, celebrating in Portugal’s vibrant capital, Lisbon.

On 22nd October 2021, Fred. Olsen’s four ships Bolette, Borealis, Balmoral and Braemar will between them host ‘Four Ladies in Lisbon’, with support from the Port of Lisbon and organisations within the city.

It is the third time that Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has hosted such an event, but the first time with new ships Bolette and Borealis, which joined the fleet earlier this year.

Clare Ward, Director of Product and Customer Service, said:

“Our fleet get-togethers are always incredibly exciting, both for us and for our guests. This one will be even more so as it will be the first time our new-look fleet will be together after setting sail again, and the first time that our guests will be able to see them all together for themselves.

“The team here is busy making a programme of exciting plans for the day, both on our ships, the quayside and within the wonderful city itself. Previous years have included a treasure hunt, inter-ship contests and live music. Of course, we have extra factors to consider for next year to ensure the safety of our guests and crew, but the event is set to be packed with fun and festivities to bring our fleet together in style.

“These cruises are already proving popular with our guests, and we can’t wait to see so many faces, both familiar and new, in Lisbon next October!”

The sailings are featured in this week’s Virtual Cruising programme on the Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Facebook page, and until 6th November guests can book with up to £150 off the advertised price by quoting “VCOFFER”.

Other options that were put forward included ‘Fred.s Portuguese Parade’, ‘Fred.s Lisbon Liaison’ and ‘Liners in Lisbon’.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
