Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines unveils 98-night World Cruise for 2027, with extended stays in Japan and Hawaii
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has unveiled a new 98-night around the world adventure, setting sail from Southampton in January 2027.
Guests aboard Borealis can look forward to a four-day stay in Hawaii, and visits to five Japanese ports, where calls have been carefully timed to avoid the peak tourist season and to coincide with the beauty of the late plum blossom.
The voyage will offer a number of other once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, from whale watching in the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii to witnessing Hong Kong’s iconic skyline illuminated by the Symphony of Lights.
Other highlights include visits to Pearl Harbor, Singapore’s futuristic Gardens by the Bay, and the chance to seek out the ‘Big Five’ on safari in South Africa.
Borealis will also transit through the world-famous Panama Canal, a feat of engineering that links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Martin Lister, Head of Product Innovation at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:
“This is a truly special voyage of discovery and one that we have had great fun in curating, designed especially to showcase iconic landmarks, diverse cultures and natural wonders across some world-renowned cities and wonderful hidden gems.
“An undoubted highlight will be the extended call into Japan, at a time of year when there will be fewer crowds and the chance to witness the beauty of the late plum blossom season. With five ports of call, guests explore many ancient castles and temples, take in breathtaking views of Mount Fuji, ride the bullet train in Osaka and join us for a maiden call into Shimizu.
“Later, a four-day call to Hawaii will allow ample time to explore the archipelago’s volcanic landscapes, pristine beaches and lush rainforests, embrace the spirit of Aloha at a traditional Luau and sample delicious local cuisine.”
Guests who book by 7thMay 2025 will benefit from Fred. Olsen’s Freedom Fare Price Promise. This is Fred. Olsen’s guarantee that if a guest books a Freedom Fare within the first four weeks of a cruise going on sale, they are guaranteed the best value – or will receive a cabin upgrade or on-board spending credit if the fare is later reduced.
