Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines unveils brand new sailings for new ship Bolette, including series of UK cruises

The inaugural cruise programme for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ new flagship Bolette has been unveiled, including a number of brand new itineraries and a series of UK cruises, with guests able to book from today.

Bolette’s maiden voyage will be a seven-night ‘Scotland & Northern Ireland’ cruise, setting sail from Southampton on 5th March 2021. This will be followed by two further UK cruises before Bolette sets sail for the warmer climates of the Azores and Madeira over the Easter break.

Bolette’s inaugural programme will include itineraries previously scheduled for Boudicca, with a number of brand new sailings added, and will operate predominantly from the port of Dover.

Guests who book onto any of Bolette’s sailings for 2021 or 2022 by 30th September 2020 will enjoy FREE tips and up to £100 per person to spend on board.

Clare Ward, Director of Product and Customer Service, said:

“Our new ships have been a long time in the planning, so it is great to be able to officially unveil our itineraries for Bolette today.

“We know that our guests can’t wait to get back cruising again, and to experience our new ships for themselves. Now they can really start planning their first holiday back with us, whether they are looking for a UK break, to escape to warmer climates or for something a little more adventurous.

“Offering free tips and on board spending is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our guests for their support, and to get them excited about enjoying the many new and wonderful facilities that Bolette brings to the fleet, from new specialty dining venues to an increased number of bars and lounges where they can sit back, relax and experience the joys of cruising once again.”

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has defined and redefined the cruise experience, and judging by the number of passengers that come back time and again, we seem to have styled it to perfection

The company originated in Hvitsten, a small town on Oslofjord in Norway, in 1848 when three Olsen brothers – Fredrik Christian, Petter and Andreas – bought their first ships and began an international shipping company.

Now into the fifth generation of the family, they operate companies skilled in various aspects of the cruise and passenger shipping trade as well as aviation, ships’ crewing, shipbuilding and offshore industries.
Aside from the transportation industries, the Fred. Olsen group also has interests in the luxury hotel sector, estate management, property development, and electronics companies.

Offices for the company are spread throughout the world, although the company headquarters remain firmly in the family’s hands in Oslo and Tenerife. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is based in Ipswich in Suffolk.
