Discover the ‘Wonders of the World’ with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in 2018

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has unveiled a specialist new brochure, dedicated to Black Watch’s epic 108-night ‘Wonders of the World’ cruise, departing from Southampton on 5th January 2018. This brochure has been carefully and creatively designed with a ‘high-end’ feel, to showcase the very best of this exclusive, ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ cruise experience.

Nathan Philpot, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

“This is one of the most incredible voyages we have ever planned! Guests will take in 23 countries, on six continents, as well as two major canal transits, 37 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, one ‘Ancient Wonder of the World’, five ‘New Wonders of the World’, and two ‘New Wonder Cities’, all on one unforgettable journey!

“This circumnavigation of the globe also offers a host of other destinations, including islands in French Polynesia – which are hard to reach and can be very expensive to visit – plus, on Black Watch’s return journey, we will be calling into a number of stunning western Mediterranean ports, including Civitavecchia, for tours to romantic Rome, and Livorno, to visit picturesque Florence.”

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has defined and redefined the cruise experience, and judging by the number of passengers that come back time and again, we seem to have styled it to perfection

The company originated in Hvitsten, a small town on Oslofjord in Norway, in 1848 when three Olsen brothers – Fredrik Christian, Petter and Andreas – bought their first ships and began an international shipping company.

Now into the fifth generation of the family, they operate companies skilled in various aspects of the cruise and passenger shipping trade as well as aviation, ships’ crewing, shipbuilding and offshore industries.
Aside from the transportation industries, the Fred. Olsen group also has interests in the luxury hotel sector, estate management, property development, and electronics companies.

Offices for the company are spread throughout the world, although the company headquarters remain firmly in the family’s hands in Oslo and Tenerife. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is based in Ipswich in Suffolk.
