Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines expands Sales team with a reshuffle, new hires and more on the way…
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has again expanded its Trade Sales team with new hires, a reshuffle and promises of more new appointments to come.
Kate Wooldridge has been appointed to the new role of Sales Services & Communications Manager, reporting into Neil Herbert, Head of Sales. Kate has moved from her previous role as Sales Manager – International & Tour Operators, and will be taking on the responsibility of fully supporting and deputising for Neil.
Furthermore, Kate will manage the Trade Support and Sales Systems teams, and will oversee all aspects of trade communications, to include: training, promotions, incentives, educational ship visits, trade marketing campaigns, events, conferences and brochure launches.
Kate Wooldridge said:
“I am delighted to have been offered the opportunity to help shape, develop and improve the way in which we communicate with our travel trade partners. 2017 will see us embarking on a range of trade-facing initiatives, activities, promotions and events that will further endorse our continued commitment to working with travel agents and tour operators in the UK. I am really looking forward to helping deliver those initiatives to the benefit of our partners.”
Neil Herbert, Head of Sales for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:
“I am very pleased that Kate is taking on this new role. Kate comes with many years of experience, not only from within Fred. Olsen, but also from the wider travel industry in the UK, and she fully understands and subscribes to our plans for reaffirming our total support for the travel trade.
“This important new role will allow Kate and her teams to deliver a far greater level of assistance to agents across the UK, as well as to our Account Management team.”
Carla Ball has also been promoted to another new role, Sales Manager – Specialist Sales, reporting into Neil Herbert, and taking on the responsibilities previously held by Kate Wooldridge for UK tour operators and international resellers.
Carla is already managing Fred. Olsen’s largest tour operator accounts in the UK, but will now be responsible for all UK tour operators and overseas resellers, in addition to managing a portfolio of ‘Specialist Sales’ accounts.
Neil Herbert continued:
“Again, we are recognising that we have a wealth of experience in our existing Sales team and we are promoting ‘from within’, wherever we can.
“We are currently recruiting for an additional two new team members to support Carla in her expanded role – an Account Manager and a Support Executive – which will allow us to deliver far greater assistance to our Specialist Sales accounts.”
Zoe Allum, formerly Team Leader within Fred. Olsen’s Reservations Department, has also been appointed as Trade Support Executive within the Trade Support team. Reporting into Becky Smith, Trade Support Manager. Zoe is providing additional travel trade and account management assistance, to bolster the existing team of three Trade Support Executives and one Trade Support Assistant.
Neil Herbert added:
“We are committed to providing even greater support to our agent and tour operator partners, and these new appointments will help to ensure that Fred. Olsen continues to be ‘front of mind’ with our travel trade partners and the wider travel industry in the future.”
