Press release -

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines offers no single supplement on selected grades and sailings for 2022 and 2023

Solo travellers looking to get away in 2022 or 2023 can enjoy a twin cabin with no single supplement on selected grades and sailings with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

The offer includes opportunities to venture to the emerald-green islands of the Azores, seek out winter warmth in the Canary Islands or enjoy scenic sailings of the River Seine.

Durations range from four to 19-nights, with regional departures from Liverpool, Dover, London Tilbury, Portsmouth and Southampton.

The offer is applicable to new bookings made by 31st August 2022 inclusive, on selected September 2022 to March 2023 cruises, and based on sole occupancy of specific grades of twin and double cabins.

Clare Ward, Director of Product and Customer Service at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

“We love exploring the world and showcasing the many fantastic destinations it has to offer, and we don’t want travelling alone to be a barrier to that.

“The smaller size of our ships provide a warm, welcoming environment, and our crew will always go above and beyond to make sure our solo guests feel at home from the moment they step on board.

“Our solo offers always prove very popular, and it’s a great way for us to celebrate our first year since we resumed sailing again. Whether you’re looking to visit the world-famous Diamond District of Antwerp, witness the wonders and wildlife of Iceland or experience the culture, flavours and beauty of Portugal, I am sure there will be a cruise to tempt you either before the end of the year or into Spring 2023.”

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has defined and redefined the cruise experience, and judging by the number of passengers that come back time and again, we seem to have styled it to perfection

The company originated in Hvitsten, a small town on Oslofjord in Norway, in 1848 when three Olsen brothers – Fredrik Christian, Petter and Andreas – bought their first ships and began an international shipping company.

Now into the fifth generation of the family, they operate companies skilled in various aspects of the cruise and passenger shipping trade as well as aviation, ships’ crewing, shipbuilding and offshore industries.
Aside from the transportation industries, the Fred. Olsen group also has interests in the luxury hotel sector, estate management, property development, and electronics companies.

Offices for the company are spread throughout the world, although the company headquarters remain firmly in the family’s hands in Oslo and Tenerife. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is based in Ipswich in Suffolk.
