Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines to Exhibit at Manchester and Glasgow Daily Telegraph and Travel Shows 2011

Manchester Central (GMEX) 14th – 16th January 2011- Stand 421

Glasgow SECC 11th – 13th February 2011- Stand 421

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will be exhibiting at the Manchester and Glasgow Daily Telegraph Holiday and Travel Shows in 2011, showcasing its programme of worldwide cruises, mostly from the UK, aboard its fleet of four smaller, traditional-style ships.

The cruise line is known for its friendly and informal style and personal approach. On stand 421 will be members of the Fred. Olsen sales team to offer advice and provide all kinds of information to visitors on its wide range of cruises.

As well as a range of special offers, there will be special show discounts of up to £325 per person, in addition to any other current discounts, available on bookings made at the shows.

In addition to the great choice of cruises to all parts of the world – and from many different regional departure ports, including Liverpool, Greenock (for Glasgow) and Rosyth (for Edinburgh) – there are extras such as The ArtsClub programme of special interests, and Flagship Golf, a bespoke package for golfers to enjoy during their cruise.

Fred. Olsen will be taking part in the Travel Talk Theatre, with a team member hosting a 30-minute presentation on the cruise line, called ‘Discover Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.’ An extra attraction will be special ‘A Taste of Fred. Olsen’ Scandinavian cookery demonstrations, held four times a day throughout the show, hosted by Fred. Olsen’s Executive Chef, Dirk Helsig, to give a flavour of the superb cuisine you can expect when you cruise with Fred. Olsen, with a touch of the cruise line’s Norwegian heritage.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
