Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines unveils 20-night Cultural Adriatic Discovery as part of new 2024-25 programme

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines have unveiled a brand new 20-night cultural exploration of the Adriatic and Mediterranean from their upcoming 2024-25 programme.

Setting sail on 30th May 2024, guests on board Borealis will have the chance to enjoy the cultural and historical gems of the region and soak up the remarkable landscapes, local culture and traditions of these fascinating Mediterranean and Adriatic destinations.

Designed to offer an insight into the fascinating, yet turbulent, history of the Mediterranean and Adriatic, a region shaped by conflicts over the centuries, guests will have the chance to explore Cartagena's Roman sites accompanied by a local archaeologist and in Croatia, discover the natural wonder of the Krka National Park's cascading waterfalls from Split and experience the blue waters and fascinating walls of Dubrovnik.

The cruise will be available for Oceans Members to book from the 8th of February and on general sale from the 10th of February. To celebrate the launch, guests can choose from either free door-to-door transfer of up to 250 UK mainland miles or free £250 on board spend.

Martin Lister, Head of Itinerary Planning and Destination Experience at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
