Press release -
Fuel Cost Supplement
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has announced that, due to the current high price of oil, it will be introducing a fuel supplement, applicable to all new bookings from Wednesday 5th May 2010.
The supplement will be £3.00 per person per cruise night, to a maximum of £60 per person, and £1.50 per person per cruise night for third and subsequent occupants of a cabin, to a maximum of £30 per person.
The charges will apply to all bookings made on departures featured in Fred. Olsen's 2010/11 Worldwide brochure and the 2011 Preview brochure.
Fred. Olsen also announced that, should the price of Brent crude oil fall back to £45 per barrel or below, averaged across the month prior to date of departure, the fuel supplement will be refunded to the passenger in the form of on board spending credit.
