Grand Voyages From Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

The new 2010/11 Fred. Olsen brochure of worldwide cruises includes two epic voyages in 2010 and again in 2011.  Any one of these amazing journeys is truly worthy of being called  “holiday of a lifetime” – two World Cruises aboard Balmoral lasting 106 nights and 108-nights respectively, and two leisurely cruises around South America on Black Watch lasting 73 and 77-nights respectively.

Balmoral’s 2010 world cruise departs from Dover on 5th January 2010 travelling west via the Caribbean, Mexico and the USA – with the added attraction of overnight stays in Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Then it’s the magical islands of Hawaii, Samoa and Fiji and on to Australia where she visits Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, returning to the UK via the west coast of Africa with an overnight stay in Cape Town being another highlight of the trip. Prices start from £8,399 per person.

Balmoral’s 2011 world cruise departs from Southampton on 5th January, travelling west via the Canary Islands, the Caribbean and South America to the Pacific, and the French Polynesian archipelago.  Other high points include the New Zealand fjords, and the Suez Canal, but every day on this amazing voyage will bring its own wonderful new experiences.  Prices for the full voyage start from £8,799 per person.

The first of Black Watch's Around South America cruises departs from Southampton on 13th  January 2010.  Heading for Brazil by way of the Canaries and Cape Verde Islands, outstanding ports on this cruise include Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, the Falkland Islands, Robinson Crusoe Island, and Callao (for Lima) before transiting the Panama Canal and heading homeward via the Caribbean and Madeira.  Prices for this 73-night cruise start at £9,089 per person.

Black Watch’s 2011 South American itinerary also takes in the Canaries, Brazil, the Falklands, Chilean fjords, Peru, Panama Canal, Caribbean, the Azores and arrives back in Southampton in the latter half of March.  Prices for this 77-night cruise start at £7,149 per person.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
