Lucky travel agent to win cruise for two with Fred. Olsen following launch of new interactive River Cruise Training Programme

Travel agents are in with the chance to win a cruise for two aboard the newest addition to Fred. Olsen’s fleet – its river boat Brabant – in celebration of the company’s new European River Cruising Online Training Programme.

The interactive programme, which launched this month in conjunction with Online Travel Training, allows travel agents to learn more about Fred. Olsen’s river product, following the launch of its first river ship Brabant earlier this year.

It features five modules focusing on life on board Brabant, destinations and key experiences, guest services and how to book, complete with videos, images and downloadable documents of useful information, with a short quiz at the end of each module.

To celebrate the launch, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will offer one lucky agent a free cruise for two people on board Brabant, with free flights and a free dining drinks upgrade – plus, all agents who go on to make a booking will receive £20 in shopping vouchers.

Mike Evans, Head of Sales at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

“It has been a successful inaugural year for Brabant, which has been serving the Danube, Main, Moselle and Rhine rivers with us since April.

“We know that our travel agents are integral to this success, and it is paramount that those selling our river cruises really understand the product that we offer, how we operate and how this differs from our ocean cruises.

“Our new European River Cruising Online Training Programme is the perfect way for us to make sure travel agents know Brabant and our sailings inside out, while rewarding their hard work and loyalty with shopping vouchers and the chance to win a free river cruise with us to experience it first hand!”

The winning agent will be able to choose from the following cruises as their prize:

Brabant’s five-night R1902 ‘Delights of Holland in Bloom’ cruise, ex Düsseldorf, Germany (flights from London Heathrow) on 9th April 2019.

Ports of call: Düsseldorf, Germany – Arnhem, Netherlands – Cruising Pannerden Canal & Fortress, Netherlands – Nijmegen, Netherlands – Dordrecht, Netherlands – Cruising by Dutch Countryside, Netherlands – Willemstad, Netherlands – Rotterdam, Netherlands – Kinderdijk, Netherlands – Schoonhoven, Netherlands (overnight stay) – Amsterdam, Netherlands (overnight stay)

Travel agents wishing to receive the free vouchers should email cruise.sales@fredolsen.co.uk with the reference number of their first booking and the course certificate, which can be downloaded on completion of all five modules.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
