Press release -

'Sail and save' with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ new ‘Summer Sale’ offers for 2017

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is offering guests the chance to 'sail and save’ with its new 'Summer Sale' campaign, which starts from 10th May 2017, on a selection of 35 holidays, departing from June to December 2017.

The itineraries featured in Fred. Olsen's new ‘Summer Sale’ brochure are all offered on board its fleet of four smaller, more intimate ships – Balmoral, Braemar, Boudicca and Black Watch – and include all the firm favourites, from Spain and Portugal, to Norway and the Arctic, as well as the Caribbean and 'Around the UK & Ireland'‎, on a variety of durations.

With the exception of its fly-cruises, the getaways featured in Fred. Olsen’s new ‘Summer Sale’ brochure depart from six convenient regional UK departure ports: Southampton, Dover, London Tilbury, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Rosyth (Edinburgh).

Fred. Olsen’s new ‘Summer Sale’ brochure showcases, for the very first time, exotic fly-cruises to the mesmerising, far-flung Indian Ocean, Madagascar and South Africa.‎

Fred. Olsen guests can ‘sail and save’ on three of Boudicca’s adventurous fly-cruises‎ in 2017: a 33-night sailing to ‘The Mediterranean, Zanzibar & Mauritius’, ex Liverpool on 14th October 2017; a 14-night ‘Indian Ocean Islands & Zanzibar’ fly-cruise, ex Port Louis, Mauritius on 14th December 2017; and a 14-night ‘Madagascar, Mozambique & South Africa’ departure, ex Port Louis, Mauritius on 28th December 2017 (ending in Cape Town, South Africa).

Justin Stanton, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

"Fred. Olsen's latest promotion features great-value offers on a choice of tempting destinations over seven months ‎this Summer; guests can discover faraway cultures, fascinating wildlife and exotic landscapes on a fly-cruise of the Indian Ocean, or embark on an island-hopping adventure to the sun-kissed Caribbean.

“Choose your favourite place to visit, and Fred. Olsen’s friendly, welcoming crews and traditionally-built, smaller-scaled ships will be the perfect companions, allowing you to get 'closer' to the very best highlights around the globe.”

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
