Set sail from Dover with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines this Summer, for sunshine, islands and exotic beaches – from right on your doorstep!

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is offering guests in the South East a chance to set sail on a ‘Summer sunshine’ cruise from right on their doorstep. Departing from Dover on 28^th June 2015, Braemar’s M1519 13-night ‘Islands of the Azores & Madeira’ cruise will take in four destinations, including an overnight stay in the charming capital of Madeira, Funchal – from just £54 per person, per night!

Guests will arrive first in Praia Da Vitoria, in the stunning Azores. The area was heavily fortified and parts of the Old Town wall can still be seen, along with the Fort of Santa Catarina, built to protect the natural harbour from invaders. On the opposite side of the bay, enjoy superb views over the town and the Serra do Cume Mountains.

Next is a call in Ponta Delgadain the Azores, which is the main town on the island of São Miguel. There is a cosmopolitan atmosphere and a fine selection of parks, narrow, cobbled streets and squares, as well as a modern marina, with plenty of waterside cafés. The island also boasts many natural wonders, including sandy beaches, picturesque lakes and impressive mountains.

Braemar then stops in Funchal in Madeira, for an overnight stay. The capital has a timeless charm, which is delightfully enhanced by a warm, year-round climate and the beautiful colours and fragrant scents of subtropical flowers and fruit. Explore the stunning landscapes along the unique levada irrigation network and sample the island’s famous wine.

Guests will then spend a day in Aviles, in Spain. The Old Town has superb medieval churches, palaces and merchants’ houses, many of which are now museums and galleries. Be sure to try some of the region’s famous sweet cider in one of the Siderias. Braemar will then set sail for a leisurely cruise back to Dover.

Prices for this cruise start from £699 per person, based on two adults sharing a twin-bedded, Inside cabin, and include accommodation, all meals and entertainment on board, and port taxes. In addition, guests can also choose to upgrade to Fred. Olsen’s ‘all-inclusive’ drinks package for just £10 per person, per night*.
